Ning An had already several high prizes in important international piano competitions (such as 3rd at the Queen Elisabeth, 1999), and now wins the first prize at the William Kapell Competition in Maryland. The announcement had just been made by the competition organiser. Chris Patton (in the middle) is happy that "his" first competition went so smoothly.
