Where is AAF today ... ?

AAF is present at many competitions. Gustav and the AAF Board members are frequently travelling. This is necessary in order to hear the latest news and to have reliable information and details from the international competitions, and to keep in touch with many people in the Piano World, such as the contestants, the jury members and organisers.

2014

December
December 2014: the beginning of this month, Gustav and Akemi were still in Rio de Janeiro at the BNDES International Piano Competition (AAF). On the last day, there was a special reception for all, with the support of AAF. A few days later, Gustav and Akemi went to Belgium, where they attended the finals of the César Franck Competition (AAF). Right after Christmas, notary Mr. D.L. Rang conducted the official draw to determine which competitions would receive AAF's financial support for a special reception in 2015. In between all activities, much work was done to complete the new AAF catalogue.

The end of February, Gustav and Christoph will be at the European Piano Competition (AAF) in Bremen, where AAF will also host a special reception for all the contestants.
January
January 2014: the beginning of this month, Gustav was totally occupied completing the new AAF catalogue, which is always an enormous job. This time, the catalogue has 232 pages and many details had to be checked and double-checked. He had to work between 16 and 20 hours a day. The first 10 days of January, Gustav was also ill, not just a cold, but constant deep coughing, also at night. As soon as all preparations of the new AAF catalogue were done and delivered to the printer, Gustav could finally take a rest. However, the coughing continued to bother him for the rest of the month and he did not feel 100% okay. Nevertheless, he tried to catch up with all the administration and correspondence as much as he could. Also this month, the new AAF catalogue came out, and the worldwide sending of many copies had to be taken care of. The end of January, Gustav was not yet feeling well, and he was therefore unable to attend the competition in Lagny-sur-Marne (AAF).
